From: Recruiting hard-to-reach pregnant women at high psychosocial risk: strategies and costs from a randomised controlled trial

• Alcohol and/or drug misuse in woman and/or partner in the last 12 months

• HIV-positive and/or known HIV-positive partner

• Current mental health issues

• Involvement and/or partner involvement in the criminal justice system

• Asylum seeker/refugee

• Vulnerable/would benefit from social work support

• Current or previously identified child protection issues

• Resistant to professional intervention

• Learning difficulties that could impact parenting

• Domestic violence with child protection issues

• Homeless/living in supported accommodation

• Vulnerable young mothers, e.g. those accommodated by the local authority or linked to care leaving services, pregnancy under difficult circumstances
