Table 1 Inclusion and exclusion criteria

• Age over 18 years

• Documented diagnosis of SMI (schizophrenia, delusional/psychotic illness or bipolar disorder)

• Current smoker (at least 5 per day)

• English speaker

• Pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have drug or alcohol abuse as a current primary diagnosis

• Lacks mental capacity to consent
